Challenge:
Established in 1996, Mt Noorat Freighters is a bulk haulage company specialising in stockfeed, grain, and other agricultural products. With a fleet of 20 trucks and 35 employees operating around the clock, the company faced significant challenges due to inefficient administrative processes and excessive paperwork. Systems Manager Scott Guthrie recognised the need for a more efficient solution to reduce back-office workload and ensure compliance with NHVAS regulations related to fatigue and speed management

Solution:
In 2011, Mt Noorat Freighters decided to part ways with its previous supplier and sought a new provider that could meet its needs. After evaluating nearly ten different transport providers, they chose a combination of CMS’s Freight2020 transport management system and Teletrac Navman’s in-cab and compliance technology. The new solution went live in October 2012, allowing drivers and administrative staff to experience immediate benefits in terms of reduced paperwork and improved data management.

Once the drivers realised that the solutions in place would greatly limit the amount of paperwork and mass management, they needed to complete themselves, they recognised it was a tool just as much for themselves as for our back-office staff.
